There is now video footage on the Horse Hero website with David Yeoman, Nikki Routledge and Sue Cox in three separate videos! The Voices for Horses website also has coverage of the Golden Horseshoe as does Horsetalk (NZ) together with some of Ian Wigley's photos.

 

David Yeoman receives his Gold Award from Nicky Moffat, Editor of Horse & Rider Magazine, who kindly presented the trophies at this year's event. David won Gold this year with Haszar, last year he competed to the same standard with Eleazar de Landas.

Golden Horseshoe 2009– epilogue

I feel as though I am just repeating last year’s epilogue, but ‘Yes’ – we were really lucky with the weather again, and ‘Yes’ when I returned to the venue on Wednesday morning it was so foggy I could hardly find the Horseshoe start/finish!

We can only keep our fingers crossed that we will be lucky again in 2010.

The Organising Committee is all set to start on next year’s preparations, so if there is anything you want altered, now is the time to tell us. We always discuss suggestions from riders/crew/helpers etc. and try to improve what is on offer to you, so don’t be shy – contact us and ask!

Thank you again to Nicky Moffat, Editor of Horse and Rider Magazine, for presenting the awards at this year’s Prize-Giving ceremony and to all our other helpers and officials.

Meantime have a good season, and we hope to see you all (and more) next year.
